In this document and all other Thuggizzle Cares Inc. disclaimers or disclosures, “Thuggizzle Cares Inc.” includes Thuggizzle Cares Inc., Thuggizzle Cares Inc. staff, Thuggizzle Cares Inc. volunteers, and Thuggizzle Cares Inc. affiliates.

Section 261 of the Texas Family Code mandates that ANYONE who suspects child abuse or neglect or has cause to believe that a child's physical or mental health or welfare has been adversely affected by abuse or neglect by any person, must report it immediately. A person who reports abuse in good faith is immune from civil or criminal liability. DFPS keeps the name of the person making the report confidential. Anyone who does not report suspected abuse can be held liable for a misdemeanor or felony. Reports can be made to the Texas Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400.

Case Management, classes, one-on-on sessions, CPS support, etc. are in no way to be construed or substituted as psychological counseling or any other type of therapy.

However, law requires the following exceptions to client confidentiality: Where there is suspicion or evidence of child or elder abuse, Where there is reasonable suspicion that the client presents danger to self or other, and court order. Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in groups or classes. If you authorize the disclosure of confidential information to another organization, we can no longer assure confidentiality, as we cannot control how another organization maintains or utilizes client's information.

Thuggizzle Cares Inc. reserves the right to change or update disclaimer notices, or any other of our policies or practices, at any time without notice. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or updating our policies and procedures.
